Select Applicable Tax Act

On the Income Tax e-Pay Tax screen, select the radio button for 'Income Tax Act, 1961' under the tax section choices and click Proceed.

Enter PAN / TAN & Mobile for OTP

Type your 10-digit Permanent Account Number (PAN) or Tax Deduction Account Number (TAN), confirm it in the secondary box, enter a valid Indian mobile number, and click Continue to receive a 6-digit OTP.

Select Major Head — Income Tax

Under the e-Pay Tax category grid, locate the first box titled 'Income Tax (IT)' and click the Proceed button underneath it.

Select Assessment Year 2026-27 & Minor Head

From the Assessment Year dropdown list, select '2026-27'. Next, choose the appropriate Type of Payment (Minor Head) such as Self-Assessment Tax (300) or Advance Tax (100) and click Continue.

Enter Tax Breakdown & Choose Payment Mode

Part A: Enter Tax Amount Breakdown

In Part A, enter the exact tax amount under basic Tax, Surcharge, Cess, Interest, and Penalty fields as calculated.
Part B: Select Net Banking / Debit Card / Payment Gateway

In Part B, select your payment mode: Net Banking, Debit Card, RTGS/NEFT, or Payment Gateway (UPI/Credit Card), review the summary and complete the transaction.

Next Steps After Payment

Download Challan & forward to NHJC team for ITR updating

1. Save Payment Receipt PDF

Download the official Tax Payment Receipt (Challan) with BSR Code & CRN.

2. Forward Receipt to NHJC Team

Send your receipt PDF to your CA via WhatsApp or Email for ITR recording.
